The Ceylon Mission of Seventh-day Adventists mourns the passing of Pastor Palaniappan Jeyaraman, who passed away on October 20, 2026, after a life devoted to serving God and proclaiming the Gospel.
Pastor Jeyaraman began his ministry in May 1990 as a Global Mission Bible Worker. He faithfully served in this capacity until 1997, dedicating himself to sharing the Word of God and bringing the message of hope to communities.
To further prepare for pastoral ministry, he completed two years of Ministerial Studies at Lakpahana Adventist College and Seminary (LACS) from April 1997 to April 1999. Following his studies, he entered pastoral ministry in 1999 and continued serving as a pastor until his passing.
At the time of his passing, Pastor Jeyaraman was serving the Kalmunai Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he remained committed to nurturing the spiritual lives of church members and advancing the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sri Lanka.
His ministry journey, spanning more than three decades, reflects a life dedicated to Christian service and the calling to lead people to Jesus Christ. From his early years as a Global Mission Bible Worker to his years of pastoral leadership, he devoted himself to sharing the Gospel and strengthening the faith of those entrusted to his care.
The Ceylon Mission of Seventh-day Adventists extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends, fellow ministers, and the members of the Kalmunai church. We pray that God's presence and promises will bring comfort and strength to all who mourn his passing.
As we remember his life and ministry, we hold firmly to the blessed hope of the resurrection and the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ:
“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” — John 11:25 (KJV)
May the hope of Christ's return sustain all who grieve, as we look forward to the day when death will be no more and God's faithful servants will be reunited with their Lord.
“Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” — Revelation 22:20
The Ceylon Mission of Seventh-day Adventists extends its deepest sympathies to all who mourn the passing of Pastor Palaniappan Jeyaraman.
